GCU Esports Roster

Roster videos are essential for showcasing an esports team’s identity and talent. While at GCU Esports, I created three versions over the years, each improving through experience and feedback. For the latest, I moved beyond the traditional poster format to produce a dynamic video featuring player highlights and a cinematic intro. The process included planning a media day, editing content to match the team’s energy, and coordinating a strategic release to maximize engagement. As the Graphic Designer and Social Media Lead for GCU Esports, I’ve learned that pre-production is the most critical step in creating high-quality content. It begins with gathering visual inspiration and researching current trends to develop a clear stylistic direction for the final product. Once the creative vision is defined, I move on to building a detailed media plan to guide photographers and videographers during production.
